
– Madhya Pradesh Tourism’s exhibition Steals the Show at UNESCO World Heritage Committee Session
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh captivated global attention at the ongoing 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in New Delhi. The state’s tourism exhibition has emerged as the star attraction, drawing in a large number of foreign delegates.
Visitors were particularly enthralled by the opportunity to experience Madhya Pradesh’s rich history and culture through virtual reality. Destinations like Sanchi, Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Bhedaghat, Khajuraho, and Ujjain came alive in stunning 3D, leaving delegates mesmerized. Ms. Mayo from Japan expressed her awe stating “Seeing Sanchi Stupa through a virtual device felt like actually being there. It was an incredible experience.” Dr. Hama from Burkina Faso also shared his excitement, having heard much about Khajuraho and appreciated the comprehensive information provided at the exhibition.
In another significant development, Madhya Pradesh is hosting a special session on urban heritage on July 24th in collaboration with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) and ASI. This session focused on HUL’s recommendations and has generated immense interest among foreign representatives. Countries from across the globe including Canada, America, France, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, China, South Korea, Nepal, and Bangladesh have expressed their keen interest in special session. The session will feature a panel discussion with eminent experts from the field.
